The New York Knicks almost outlasted the Brooklyn Nets on Monday night, but ultimately fell just short of an upset win, by a score of 117-112.

The Nets got a big hand from the officials down the stretch and secured a victory over the Knicks, despite some brilliant defense from the Knicks in the closing minutes to come back from an 18-point deficit.

The Knicks head across the river for the first game of a brutal back-to-back tonight and tomorrow. Can they pull an upset against the red-hot Nets?

The Knicks tried to defend home court against a shorthanded Nets team, but ultimately the star power of Kevin Durant proved too much. Still, though, the Knicks had great performances from a number of young players, dulling the sting of the loss a bit.
